Loads of icebreaking and teambuilding activities, came up with our CRAZY CUTE GROUP CHEER, and had lunch at this restaurant facing the flamingoes!!! I think they're my favourite birds now. They're so pretty and pinkkkkkk omg heheh! :P Oh yeah and our cheer goes like this:
Everyone: BZZ, BZZ BZZ, BZZ BZZ!
Bramina: How many bees are in the sky?!
Everyone: 12, 12 12, 12 12!
Bramina: How many bees are in the sky?!
Everyone: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, B12! (2 people jump in at the same time each time we scream something)
(everyone buzzes off in all directions :P)
:D Oh showers were great since my group was the last and we could pretty much take our own sweet time :) And then we turned in for the night.
DAY 2: Land quest!!! Had a lot of fun doing it :))) And guess what! My group got SECOND for the entire thing woohoo! We got to feed the lories, watch some bird show, collect water with our shirts and hair (hahahha its okay if you don't get it!) and a whole lot of other really really really fun stuff :) We got first for like... 3 quests I think! That's a lot k! :D B12 is just amazing :) Oh. I got to smash green paint in Kenneth's face. He looked so pretty everyone should've seen it HAHA. I think some went up his nose though... :/ Uh anywaaaay, day 2 was also the day GROUP A CAMEEEEEEE :D I don't think they even knew how freaking happy we were when we saw them hahahha! (or maybe they were just as happy heheh)
I don't even know why we were that happy! :P It was just like, when we were having dinner, they all walked into the restaurant, and we just screamed and cheered and clapped and ran towards them and hugged them like crazy HAHA. Aaand of course, the couples were especially happy ;) (you know, those who were - sadly - separated cuz of the groupings) Its like they were like celebrities or something. ... And we didn't see them for only a day and a half. Awwww :)
WAIT FLAMINGO TIMEEE
SO CUTEEEE :3
(Ghhh I know its not a real flamingo la! I just couldn't find a picture that made them look as cute as they looked at Bird Park :/ Guess they're just not photogenic enough. Like you. IGNORE THAT STRIKEOUT.)
DAY 3: The start of our kayaking expedition! Had breakfast packed on the go, took a bus to Changi to set off to Ubin :) Downed a whole litre of water once we got there cos the instructor Colin dude said we had to be fully hydrated - to the extent that we'd feel like peeing and puking water out AND our pee would turn uh, colorless (OKAY why am I talking about pee!). Started our expedition, stopped by THE FROGGY ISLAND. AND KNOW WHAT! There were no freaking frogs!!! So yes. I was scared for nothing -.- Geeeeeeeesh. Its only called that cos there's this sculpture of a frog all covered in bird poo. Uh, so yeah. And then we finally arrived at the Ubin Lodge after 4 hours (I think) of hardcore (not really actually heheh) kayaking.
Had dry rations for lunch... :/ They're surprisingly filling though! Especially the biscuits hahahha. Just take 4 of them and you're full. Oh and then we laid out our ground sheets for the really big tents (they're like the normal tents, except much bigger and without the ground sheet so we have to lay out a separate one). Oh and then we had a really really good dinner at some seafood restaurant there :D ... And I got homesick -.- Guh cos everything (especially the lady bosssssss) just reminded me of home (and my grammaaaa)! Psh fine I'm a baby.
So anyway. We all went for the night walk after that. And we all thought it was going to be super scary but naaah, didn't turn out to be. The night walk was just uh, you walk in ALONE, and follow the glowsticks stuck in the trees and the bushes along the trail. Something like P5 camp, except we got to do it in groups for P5 so yeah. This one's individual. I guess it was Colin told us about the history of Ubin - that our campsite's next to a graveyard :/ - that's why we were so freaked out. But yeah, as long as you have your favourite songs/person/whatever stuck in your head, you won't be scared :) I just kept replaying Ashley songs in my mind and it worked :P
And then we turned in really early. Cos we were going to kayak A LOT the next day. Ohoh, sleeping in those tents was WAY more comfortable then in Bird Park!!! ... surprisingly (again haha)! Given the fact we were sleeping on a beach, with stray dogs almost everywhere, grasshoppers jumping onto our groundsheets, no sleeping bags AND stinking quite bad :/ (hello we showered in 5 minutes. With Meizhi shouting "ONE MINUTE LEFT!!!" and then banging on your door when time was up - we were all showering in well water so we had to hurry if not the seniors might just get grime to shower in :/ - I kind of miss that now though haha! :P)
WAIT ASHLEY TIME :D (every post needs some Ashley!)
DAY 4: Last day of camp!!! Cooked our own breakfast, was pretty good - although I was allergic to almost everything haha -.- (there were eggs, baked beans, nutella, sausages, bread and bananas) And then we rushed to set off to Pasir Ris! :D Good thing was, we were kayaking WITH the current, cos the current was being nice to us :) We were kind of against the wind though, so when we rafted up, we just kept drifting away from our target haha. And then we stopped by a really cool mangrove and I saw this little wild boar hiding in the trees :D
Oh and then a lot of us had to pee. Cos you know, the instructors made it a point that we downed tons of water before leaving so we'd be well hydrated. And of course, there are no stinking bathrooms in/on the sea. So. We had to pee in the sea! Wheee! BUUUUUUT before you go "EWWW I'M NEVER EATING FISH AGAIN!", just so you know, planes dump their passengers' poop and pee in the sea too ;) Oh and don't forget the people living on those floating villages ;) (okay nevermind I don't see how this prevents anyone from saying "EWW I'M NEVER EATING FISH AGAIN!" hahahhaha) I didn't pee there though! I triiiiied, but I couldn't -.- How stupid. But I mean, when you get off your kayak and try to pee, it's hard cos it just feels like you've already peed (cos of all the water around you) when you haven't! SO IT'S A HARD MOMENT ALRIGHT >:(
And then it was hardcore kayaking all the way back to Pasir Ris. And had dry rations again. Kenneth tried making iced tea. Complete fail. Most of the powder was still floating in there -__- And then we headed back to SOTA WOOHOOOOOO! I think I was kind of drunk from the seawater I swallowed accidentally when I was kayaking :/ I was just smooching my drybag the whole way, and rambling about Hi5 and the Wiggles to Keren. .. Uh anyway. Then we saw SCHOOL YAAAAAY. Dione was like "OMG PEOPLE WITH CLOTHES!" when we were outside Plaza Sing and Dhoby hahahhahahha. And then we had a little ceremony to end the whole camp. And we all performed with the given theme (Environment) :) ... And yay we painted Claire's face! :D
Soooo! Overall it was an amazing camp. So thank you so much year 4s and the teachers and the instructors for allowing that to happen! :D
